Art in Percival Hall

As part of the their efforts to make a more diverse and inclusive community, the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources will reinvent the hallways of Percival Hall by creating a mural that generates an atmosphere of inclusion, inspires students to envision a future that embodies diversity and fosters meaningful conversations and spaces where community can be built.

Athletics Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee

Athletics developed and initiated its own Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee which consists of head coaches, assistant coaches, staff members and student-athletes.

Awareness Video: Reporting Hate Crime and Bias Incidents

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is collaborating with the Morgantown citizen group “Dismantling Racism Together” to produce a short training video on learning to see and report hate crimes and bias incidents.

Engineering Sciences Prayer Room Remodel

Supported by a challenge grant from the Office of the Provost, the prayer room in Engineering Sciences will be remodeled with a wall-to-wall rug, fresh paint and new signage. Educational resources will be added to explain the significance of prayer for Muslims and garner respect for this space.

The Quad LLC

The Quad Living-Learning Community (LLC) is a community housed in the Evansdale Residential Complex (Towers) where students of color will live with other students of color. This LLC focuses on the four areas of student development that are priorities at Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic Serving Institutions: cultural connections, engagement, academics and service.

Transgender ID Replacement Program

Supported by a challenge grant from the Office of the Provost, the LGBTQ+ Center will partner with Information Technology Services to cover the cost of replacing the WVU student identification card for transgender students to ensure the ID has the correct name and photo.
